Product Details

Haplocosmia himalayana, commonly known as Himalayan earth tiger, is an old world, fossorial species.

They originate from Nepal, require temperatures between 20-24°c and the humidity to be kept around 70-80%

Females can grow to a leg span of up to 15cm, with the males maturing at a smaller size.

This species has distinctive black and white banded legs, with a chocolate-coloured carapace.

Breeding of this species can be difficult, as the females are known for eating their mate!

This species is better suited to an intermediate keeper due to their defensive nature

They are rarely seen in the open, spending a lot of time hidden in thier burrows, but when they are visible, it's worth the wait!
