Product Details
The Colombian Giant Redleg is a seriously impressive tarantula, reaching around 18–20cm as an adult. Native to Colombia, it has a dark, heavily bodied appearance with striking orange-red hairs across the legs and abdomen.

This is a terrestrial burrowing species, so give it plenty of deep substrate and a good-sized enclosure. Keep temperatures around 22–26°C with humidity around 70–80%, keeping the lower substrate slightly moist while maintaining good ventilation.

They’re generally shy and nervous, and can be very quick when disturbed. They also have a rather unusual defensive behaviour, using their spiny back legs if they feel threatened...definitely one to admire from the other side of the enclosure!

A huge, unusual and seriously impressive addition to any collection.
